Located in Ardmore, we serve Carter, Love, Marshall, Murray and Johnston Counties. But we don’t do it alone! Our programs are made possible through a coordinated, multidisciplinary team of partner agencies, including the District Attorney, Law Enforcement, Department of Human Services, Medical and Mental Health Professionals, and Child Advocacy Center Staff. These valuable agencies and their compassionate employees work together to ensure the complete array of needs are covered for the programs we provide.
We do this through crisis intervention and support services, divided into four main programs: SART (Sexual Assault Response Team), Crisis Management Skills Training, Sara’s House (Child Advocacy Center), and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. (link each of these)
Sara’s Project has three main goals:
Make school districts across the area aware that in a crisis situation our formalized response can reduce student and staff dysfunction, speeding up the resumption of educational focus.
Train school administrators, teachers, counselors, support staff and parents in southern Oklahoma in organized Crisis Management.
Have Sara’s Project staff and trained volunteers available for consultation and on-site assistance when schools experience crisis situations.
